High Country III

The sky glows with early morning light and the mountains shimmer in the distance. This soft vista showcases the beautiful Victorian High Country. I have chosen a palette with muted tones of blue and grey and used gentle washes of colour to build up the landscape.
The foreground is textured and tactile with soft grey and beige tones that complement the dreamy grey blues, shots of ochre gold, black and blue black create contrast and depth.
Several layers of clear varnish seal and ensure durability of artwork surface.
Acrylic, oils and mixed media on stretched canvas.
