Marking Time 2 - Abstract Australian Landscape
300cm x 130cm x 4cm
Available rolled in a tube or ready to hang
Marking Time 2 is a large abstract landscape depicts banksia trees and a distant horizon in earth tones of off-white, cream, warm beige, a soft ochre and dark brown. It is highlighted with charcoal and metallic copper leaf ( similar to gold leaf as it is a ultra thin metal applied to the canvas)
The copper leaf changes in the light and will look a burnished copper in some lights and a bright "penny/1 cent" copper at other angles.
This large abstract is a diptych - each panel measures 150cm x 130cm per artwork panel. As there are 2 panels this would measure 300cm long with no spacing between the canvases. A 10 to 50cm gap will create an artwork 310 to 350cm.
There is one image that shows how the artwork wraps around the edge - however an oak frame would be an excellent option.
This large abstract landscape is inspired by Kings Canyon found in the Red Centre of Australia. The red red glows with copper, red, ochre and terracotta tones.
