'Within' is a large landscape of wild grass and plants in an almost monochromatic palette. It depicts the element of regeneration, renewal and making time for rest to ensure the splendour of the following season.
This large abstract uses acrylic, gold leaf, ink and charcoal. The background is a warm beige, a mushroom colour and an off white - parts of the canvas have a greyer tone. The artwork is illustrated with a very dark brown gloss acrylic, black charcoal and gold leaf.
